The 20th Asian Games in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya, Japan feature 469 medal events across 43 sports including 32 Olympic disciplines plus newer additions like mixed martial arts and surfing. 46 nations are competing across the entire Asian continent.
For Korean viewers specifically, a few categories draw the biggest audiences: archery (Korea has historically dominated), football, swimming, and esports. The esports events at the Asian Games are particularly significant — titles like League of Legends and FC Online where Korean teams are always competitive draw viewership that rivals traditional sports.
