The 2026 Asian Games are coming to Chzzk. Naver confirmed on September 10 that it will livestream the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on its streaming platform, carrying all 469 events across 43 sports in real time from September 19 through October 4.

This is the same setup that worked during the FIFA World Cup and the Winter Olympics — Chzzk deploying its watch-together feature, dispatching creators to Japan to cover the atmosphere on the ground, and applying AI clips and subtitles across the broadcast.

What's actually at the Asian Games

The 20th Asian Games in Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya, Japan feature 469 medal events across 43 sports including 32 Olympic disciplines plus newer additions like mixed martial arts and surfing. 46 nations are competing across the entire Asian continent.

For Korean viewers specifically, a few categories draw the biggest audiences: archery (Korea has historically dominated), football, swimming, and esports. The esports events at the Asian Games are particularly significant — titles like League of Legends and FC Online where Korean teams are always competitive draw viewership that rivals traditional sports.

How Chzzk is covering it

Beyond the straight broadcast, Chzzk is running the same content format it used during the World Cup. Sports creators including Shoot for Love, Park Jong-yoon, Nongterman, and Yoo Hee-kwan will host watch-together sessions alongside guests during major events. Chzzk streamers and clip creators are being dispatched to Japan to cover the tournament atmosphere on the ground in real time.

AI clips will be generated automatically for highlight moments, making it easier to catch up on events you missed without scrubbing through hours of broadcast footage. The AI subtitle feature extends the viewing experience for Korean fans following non-Korean commentary events.

The timing

LCK Finals ended September 13. Asian Games starts September 19. Six days between events — Chzzk goes from one major content cycle directly into another with almost no gap.

This follows the same pattern Chzzk established through 2026: EWC ending August 23 into LCK Finals September 12, and now LCK Finals into Asian Games September 19. The platform has essentially been in continuous major-event mode since June.
