Montes is Mexico's starting centre-back and organiser of their defensive line. His absence creates a significant gap in Mexico's backline that Korea can exploit — especially with Son Heung-min, Lee Kang-in, and Oh Hyeon-gyu running at them.
Mexico manager Javier Aguirre will need to find a replacement centre-back pairing for the most important match of their group stage.
Korea's Strengths Going Into June 19
